Rosa and her family are from Chiapas, Mexico, and she is the fifth of six children. They lived in Reynosa, Tamaulipas for a while before immigrating to the United States in search of better opportunities. At first, they had their rough moments, but they were able to surpass those moments and settle in. She is the first to attend college in her family. Her experiences as an immigrant make her love the work she does because immigrants are people that come into this country to better themselves. She believes that anything is possible if you put your heart into it, and she also loves giving back to the community.
Aside from loving what she does, she enjoys playing soccer, reading interesting books, cooking (even if she considers herself bad at it), spending time with her family and friends, exercising when she can, and, let’s not forget, drinking coffee.
