O Visa Arrest Consequences
An O visa is a non-immigrant visa granted to people with extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or who have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry. Any arrest from a minor misdemeanor (such as for marijuana) up to serious felonies can lead to problems entering the US, renewing your O visa, or visa cancelation. Most of the problems O visa holders face following an arrest stem from missed opportunities in criminal court. For example, if an O visa holder is arrested and goes to court and pays a small fine but avoids jail, this alone could lead to serious problems.
