Julie Nokleberg is a Bay Area native. She was born and raised in Fremont, California and has lived in the Mission District of San Francisco for the past 19 years. She graduated from U.C. Hastings College of the Law with cum laude honors in 2006 and has practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 15 years.
Julie has been helping the immigrant community and others in need from the beginning of her legal career. While working as a litigation associate at a nationwide law firm, she was twice awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award from the State Bar of California’s Board of Governors for her pro bono work representing individuals in immigration removal proceedings. She also helped win a pro bono appeal before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals involving an illegal search and seizure of an arrestee’s DNA by Nevada law enforcement.
Julie has worked as an immigration attorney since 2013, gaining wide-reaching experience representing individuals and families in removal proceedings as well as affirmative applications for relief. She finds great joy and fulfillment working with immigrants to advocate for their rights and help them fight for their American dream!
